“I’ve moved around a lot in my life. Going to four different elementary schools, five different middle schools, and two different high schools really shapes you to embrace any change that comes your way. The different towns that I’ve lived in and different schools that I’ve gone to shaped me to be who I am today, the trouble and sadness that surrounds the places that I’ve gone to don’t shadow over the happiness that I’ve gained by moving around, and in a way I’m glad that it happened because I wouldn’t be who I am today. Being able to graduate from West Ottawa High School is a huge accomplishment because I’ve finally made a home here in Holland, being able to make connections with the people in my class and being able to graduate with those people is a success in my book,” West Ottawa Sr. Josiah Monroe said.
