We all are familiar with that student who sleeps in the back of class. Often times students and teachers alike shame such students, but don’t engage in disciplinary measures. A school in New Orleans named Carver Collegiate Academy, however, deals with such actions with little-to-no tolerance. If you sleep in class or lay your head down, it’s a detention. Here at WO, administration isn’t as harsh. Students occasionally sleep in class, whether they were staying up too late working on homework or working a late shift. Here are teachers’ and students’ opinions on the problem that kids face at school.
