“One thing that makes me proud of being the person that I am today is my optimism in life. Being optimistic has helped me get through many difficult situations and to be able to grow from them. I think personal growth is the most important aspect of life and remaining optimistic encourages that growth. According to the Cambridge dictionary, optimism is defined as ‘The quality of being full of hope and emphasizing the good parts of a situation.’ I believe there is always something to be grateful for in life no matter what kind of situation you may be in, and if you focus on that you can make it through anything. Optimism has helped me see the bigger picture in certain things and internally from there. Without optimism, life would be hopeless and depressing, so everyone should opt for optimism,” Sr. Isabella Solis said.
