Midway through the second quarter, John Wehrmeyer got trapped on the baseline by two Northview players, Wehrmeyer then stepped through the trap and handed the ball off to Jake VanTubergen on the right block, who turned and found a wide open Tyler Bosma on the three point line. Splash, the Black Hole then erupted and began chanting “21 stick, 21 stick, 21 stick”. This three pointer would put the Panthers up by 21 midway through the second quarter Tuesday night against Northview.
Northview would claw back to within 5 points, and had the ball with a little over 2 minutes to go. Northview, moved the ball from corner to corner, then found an open Zach Pangborn on the three point line, Pangborn missed the three wide right and the ball would end up rolling out of bounds off of Northview. The Panthers would then take control of the game, hitting 3 of their next 4 free throws to seal the game. The Panthers remained undefeated, winning 59-51 over the Northview Wildcats.
