“One day at a WO high school football game, I saw a player go down, and two people rushed to the field to help him. After the game, I learned they were athletic trainers. That stuck with me, but I wasn’t sure if it was what I wanted to do. Eventually, I decided to email the athletic trainers’ office to ask about job shadowing,” Soph. Mariah Perales said.
