“I would say that I am a pretty caring person, you know. I love to make a positive impact on other people’s lives. I think that that’s probably my most defining personality characteristic is just, trying to be a good person, trying to make a difference. I would say with basketball this fall, we have had opportunities to volunteer with younger basketball kids, and that’s definitely a space where I can kind of see the fruits of my impact pretty quickly. Just to see how those youth talk to and interact with me, and it’s pretty impressive. Like I gave them some motivation in our huddle when they were struggling and they got all excited and ran back onto the court smiling. Along with basketball, obviously, I think I’ve developed into pretty hard work. I think it’s definitely taught me some things about, you know, persistence and hard work and I’m continuing to grow in that every single day,” Jr. Zachary Honeycutt said.
