“I built my family through West Ottawa soccer. Before the freshman season kicked off, I couldn’t say anyone I knew was as close to my family or closer. After the second practice going into the season, we had a team dinner that changed everything. That’s where I met Owen Kole, my now closest soccer buddy. Each practice we’d have two hours to bond together. We just got closer and closer. Through each game, Kole depended on me to save each goal and I depended on him to get our goals. From West Ottawa soccer I no longer call Kole my friend; I call him my brother. I highly recommend joining an outside-of-school activity held by West Ottawa.
