“I work at the Port Sheldon Party Store and Teriyaki Madness. I got my first job at the Party Store when I was in 8th grade and then started working at Teriyaki Madness this year. I had to get a second job because my hours got cut at the Party Store when we were slowing down in the winter but I needed to save up for a car. I started at Teriyaki Madness in October, so I’ve been there for about seven months, and I’ve worked at Port Sheldon Party Store for two years. It can be stressful to work two jobs sometimes because I don’t get a lot of free time. I work up to five days a week so I only get a couple days to myself. I enjoy having two jobs because it keeps me busy, but it can kind of get in the way of school. By the time I’m home from work I have to shower and after that I just want to play on my phone and not do homework. I’ve definitely learned how to manage work and school better now. I try to get most of my work done while I’m still at school so I don’t have to worry about it later. I would recommend having jobs but only if you know how to manage the time between them,” Soph Leah Monetza said.
