“I guess I would probably say my twin brother, Jared. We are best friends but there were so many times, especially in high school, where we would fight a lot and yell at each other for stupid stuff. We were just trying to figure out being teenagers. like how to interact and how to deal with your emotions and we were just like the testing battlefield for that. I think that teens do that kind of stuff, but being as close as we were it was particularly hurtful at times. I think I definitely regret that even though it hasn’t put any strain on our relationship. I just wish it hadn’t happen. I think there were a lot of times I was jealous of him and I held that against him. Our junior year, he was on our 4×100 team for track, and I was the alternate, so I didn’t get to run unless someone got hurt, which no one did. They ended up winning the state meet, and I wished it was me. I didn’t do anything specific about that, but I remember resenting him for a long time and I wish I had not because he is my best friend. I should have just been proud.” Instructor Seth Piersma said.
